Jörg Plath works as an editor, responsible for literature features at the nationwide broadcasting service Deutschlandfunk Kultur
in Berlin. As a literary critic he writes for 'Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung' and 'Neue Zuercher Zeitung'.
He has studied Booktrading, German Literature, History and Politics in Freiburg im Breisgau, Vienna and Berlin. He has worked as a ghostwriter, freelance editor and journalist, and a literary critic for several publishing houses and newspapers.
During his residency stay at Sofia Literature and Translation House Jörg Plath will be working on radio features about contemporary Bulgarian literature, especially those translated into German. He will speak to authors, publishers, critics and translators about their work and the conditions under which they do it.
