Plainly visible - Photographs of Translators
Conversation with Anja Kapunkt
➡ Saturday, July 24, 20:30 at Kino Cabana
Ruslana Stefanova from Goethe-Institut Bulgarien will open the event.
Plainly Visible - Photographs of Translators aims at making translators from around the world visible. They are significant and mostly invisible contributors to world literature as they play an important role in making local literature globally accessible.
The project was launched in 2017, it has grown to more than a hundred photographs in the meantime (including portraits of translators from New York, Vienna, Budapest, Rio de Janeiro, Kolkata, Sofia and many other places) and it will steadily grow in the years to come, representing a sort of international archive.
