Presentation of seven international programmes and a public discussion on the value of creative residencies for culture, regions, cities.
International creative residencies are a popular tool for supporting creativity and cultural exchange. Such programmes for various art forms have been recently openned in Bulgaria, too. Their merits seem obvious for the participating artists but how can a public investment in such projects be argued for?
The participants will present translators' and writers' centres from six European cities and will be discussing with the public about the added value of creative residencies.
On the occasion of the annual meeting of the RECIT network in the Sofia Literature and Translation House.
In English and Bulgarian, with simultaneous interpreting.
In partnership with
Goethe-Institut Bulgarien
The event is part of the Literary Translation Month that is supported by the Culture Programme of Sofia Municipality.
