Bio note
Maltese writer Pierre Mejlak writes novels, short stories, books for children, has been awarded with numerous prizes, including the European Union Prize for Literature. His collection of short stories "Having Said Goodnight" has been translated and published in Bulgaria, 2015, ICU Publishing.

Public events

Pierre Mejlak was a special guest-in-residence of the Sofia Literature and Translation House in December 2015. As part of the official program the writer participated in the International Sofia Book Fair in the National Palace of Culture, where he presented the Bulgarian edition of the collection of short stories "Having Said Goodnight", which won the European Union Prize for Literature. The writer also participated in a discussion in the Literature and Translation House together with Dimitar Kotsev - Shosho, as well as in a literary reading with other authors from the collection "My Brother's Suitcase".
