G. Boguta: Print-On-Demand. A Technological Revolution

Print-on-demand is a new printing technology, and in effect a new form of content distribution that makes the production of very low print runs feasible. It is a production system where the whole-required volume can be printed as it is needed. Printing often involves the material being prepared and filed in advance. Files are then sometimes edited according to special requirements specified in the order. The ultimate in print-on-demand is the production of one copy at a time. This is only possible using new digital printing techniques.
